What to Expect

The years between graduate school and independent licensure can be exciting, overwhelming, and full of questions. You're developing your clinical voice, navigating complex cases, learning how to hold boundaries, and discovering your unique style as a therapist and the kind of clinician you want to become.

My goal is to provide an authentic, relational supervision experience where you feel comfortable asking questions, exploring challenges openly, and learning with confidence. Together, we'll strengthen your clinical judgment, deepen your skills, and help you become the confident, ethical, and effective clinician you want to be. Along the way, I'll support your progress toward independent state licensure.

Whether you're celebrating successes, working through self-doubt, or navigating difficult cases, supervision is a place where you can feel fully supported throughout your learning journey.

Over the past 20 years, I've had the opportunity to practice in a wide range of settings in the mental health field, including community mental health, public and private schools, child welfare, hospice, agency settings, group practice, and solo private practice. I've had the privilege of supporting children, teens, adults, and families through some of life's most challenging seasons and have also had the opportunity to mentor newer clinicians as they developed confidence, strengthened their clinical judgment, and discovered their own unique style. Additionally, I gained valuable insights from the different supervisors I had early in my career and and have learned what was most beneficial to my own growth and development as a clinician. Those experiences continue to shape the way I approach supervision today.

I believe effective supervision is built on trust, curiosity, honest feedback, and collaboration.

My role isn't to give you all the answers. It's to create a space where you can think critically, explore difficult cases, strengthen your clinical decision-making, and develop a theoretical foundation that feels authentic to who you are as a practitioner. My hope is that you'll leave supervision feeling more confident in your work, better equipped to navigate complex clinical situations, and supported as you continue growing as a clinician.

I am a fully licensed clinical social worker in Michigan and Colorado (LMSW / LCSW) and have completed advanced supervision training, meeting all requirements to provide board-approved supervision for LSWs pursuing independent licensure in Colorado (LCSW) or Michigan (LMSW), and for LPCCs pursuing LPC licensure in Colorado.
